This Florida Map colab honors Lisa’s old stomping grounds. From Ormond Beach to Ponce Inlet, this little slice of coast created the force that went on to win 4 world titles and a legacy that has helped to evolve womens surfing to what it is today.

FLORIDA LOCAL

Lisa Andersen grew up in 80's Ormond Beach surfing the consistent scrappy conditions that fueled her resilient style with a global champion's edge.

Jeff first met Lisa as a 16 year old Florida transplant at our local surf break in Laguna Beach - when asked what her plans in surfing were, she rapid fired back..."I'm going to be a pro surfer."

Her fighter instinct was key to her success. Women back then battled in and out of the lineup fighting for equal pay, better contest venues and what to wear surfing. Lisa was sponsored by the first women's surf brand, Roxy, co-designing the first women's board short in '96, and it quickly took off -spearheading the women's surfing apparel industry.

Lisa continued on to win her first title... and she did it as a mother to her 6 month old child. Three more titles later, she continues to be a trailblazer, collaborating with other surf brands on signature product and running a surf school for young girls to pass on the stoke.

Her resilience and grit are an inspiration to women of all generations and we are honored to work with her on this special edition of the Florida Map in colors of sand, sunrises and the turquoise waters she calls home.

“It doesn’t matter where you come from because those who have love for the ocean are all part of the same family - there’s no surf like home.”
