This relaxed-fit, cozy fleece hoodie features a special edition of our Santa Monica Map honoring Nick Gabaldón, widely recognized as the first documented surfer of African American and Indigenous Mexican heritage in the United States.

In the early 1950s, Nick famously made the 12-mile paddle from the Santa Monica Pier to Malibu so he could surf world-class waves while avoiding the discrimination and barriers that limited access to many beaches during segregation.

Both Nick's historic paddle route and the Inkwell Beach are featured on our map. 100% of the proceeds from this special edition will be donated to the Black Surfers Collective, whose mission is to increase access to surfing and the ocean through swim instruction, ocean safety, surfing education, and community programs.
